Mdraghib Posted April 20 Posted April 20 I recently came across a detailed guide on Commodity trading that breaks everything down in a really simple way. It explains how commodity trading works, the different types of commodities like gold, oil, and agricultural products, and how prices are influenced by supply and demand. What I found useful is that it also covers how you can trade commodities without actually owning them, using instruments like CFDs and futures. The blog also walks through the steps to get started, from choosing a trading platform to understanding basic risk management and strategies. If you're new to commodity trading or want a clearer understanding of how the market works, this guide is definitely worth checking out.
Zeologic Posted May 7 Posted May 7 It's important to understand the leverage factor in CFD commodity trading, which, while increasing profits, also increases risk. Traders must thoroughly understand the commodities they're trading, as market fluctuations can change and lead to confusion. Choose a reputable CFD broker.
pradegxs Posted May 8 Posted May 8 My early CFD trades the entry was not the main problem, position size was. For commodities like gold or oil, I now check news and volatility first, then keep lot size small until the setup proves itself

Commodities are a whole different ball game compared to regular stocks and forex. Knowing about CFDs and futures is key because it opens up more trading options without having to deal with owning the physical commodity. TopAsiaFX also has some great broker reviews, so you can see which platforms offer the best commodity trading options with solid risk management tools. Worth a look if you haven’t yet!
