Dhray
I’ve been following some crossover discussions on store-of-value trends and wanted to share something that caught my eye. A new token called EDGEN just got listed on BingX, price jumped over 90% in its first day. I usually ignore hype launches, but this one stood out because of the tech concept behind it. EDGEN is tied to LayerEdge, which is building a protocol that lets everyday devices (think phones, smart home devices, etc.) take part in decentralized verification, without needing massive server farms or institutional validators. They’re aiming for a kind of “People-Powered Internet.” Not just decentralization on paper, but at the infrastructure level. It got me thinking about how gold has always stood out because of its neutrality, no central control, no manipulation (ideally), and real scarcity. Some crypto projects claim similar traits, but few really deliver. If this system lets trust get anchored by regular users and not just whales or exchanges, it might be one step closer to the neutrality gold represents. Meanwhile • BTC is currently hovering around $105k. It’s showing some momentum but is hitting resistance around the $106.5k zone. • ETH is trading near $2.6k and looks like it’s trying to break through $2.7k. • Compared to these, EDGEN is tiny, but early projects like this are where infrastructure bets are made (for better or worse). Not financial advice obviously, and it’s still super early. But for those of us who care about long-term stores of value and tech neutrality, these kinds of protocols might be worth keeping an eye on. Curious if anyone here has looked at these newer decentralized network plays? Or do you all still prefer sticking to the old gold standard (literally)?
