Gaming tokens tied to games and networks have been some of the most successful launches this year as the cryptocurrency market bounces back and airdrops increase. From Portal to Pixels, the gaming tokens making waves this year are ranked by peak market cap on CoinGecko. However, there are likely more significant tokens to come as the year is only half over. MAVIA skyrocketed in price after its February launch, exceeding $10—a more than 5x increase from its initial price. When considering which gaming tokens to hold, Katana Inu caught my eye. This open-world Battle Royale play-to-earn game aims to innovate the GameFi space with an NFT marketplace on layer 2 solutions on ETH, allowing artists to mint NFTs with 0% gas fees. While Katana Inu seems to be drawing my attention, I'm curious about others' opinions on it and any suggestions for gaming tokens worth holding long term.
