It turned out that it wasn't just a matter of what you ate: the circumstances were extremely important. That day it took us six hours to climb a mountain pass. This is not serious by mountaineering standards, but for an unprepared body it was a serious challenge. And then, at the top of the pass, surrounded by beautiful mountains, after a long and difficult journey, the halva we took with us seemed like heavenly food.
