Date: 3rd November 2026. AI Chip Sell-off, Asian Stocks Tumble as NASDAQ Correction Deepens Ahead of US Midterms. Global stock markets are coming under renewed pressure as concerns over artificial intelligence (AI) valuations, corporate earnings, and political uncertainty weigh on investor sentiment. Asian equities are leading the latest decline, while the NASDAQ 100 has entered correction territory following a prolonged sell-off in technology and semiconductor stocks. Investors are increasingly questioning whether the substantial capital being invested in AI infrastructure will deliver the returns needed to justify elevated company valuations. These concerns are emerging at a particularly sensitive time, with the US midterm elections adding another layer of uncertainty to the market outlook. Meanwhile, oil prices remain volatile as investors assess potential peace negotiations between the United States and Iran. Currency markets are also experiencing significant movements following the Reserve Bank of Australia’s latest interest rate decision and intervention by China’s central bank. Asian Stock Markets Decline as Technology Shares Face Selling Pressure Asian stock markets experienced another difficult trading session on Tuesday, 3 November, with technology-heavy indices recording some of the largest losses. The MSCI Asia-Pacific Index excluding Japan declined approximately 1.4%, reaching its lowest level since October 23. South Korea’s KOSPI Index fell by as much as 4.1%, while Taiwan’s benchmark dropped approximately 3.3%. The declines were largely concentrated in semiconductor companies, which have benefited considerably from the expansion of artificial intelligence over recent years. Shares in Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix both declined by more than 4%, reflecting increasing concerns about the sustainability of demand for AI-related technology and the potential profitability of future investments. The weakness follows significant selling pressure in the United States, where semiconductor stocks have fallen approximately 12% over three consecutive sessions. More importantly, the NASDAQ 100 has declined by over 10% from its previous peak, entering what is commonly referred to as a technical correction. A market correction does not necessarily indicate the beginning of a prolonged bearish trend. However, it can signal that investor expectations are changing, particularly when valuations have been supported by strong earnings growth forecasts. Why Are AI and Semiconductor Stocks Declining? The latest market correction is being driven by a combination of factors rather than a single development. Firstly, investors are becoming increasingly selective about AI-related investments. Technology companies continue to commit substantial resources to data centres, advanced semiconductors, and computing infrastructure, but questions remain about how quickly these expenditures will generate meaningful returns. Secondly, elevated valuations have increased the sensitivity of technology stocks to earnings announcements. Even companies reporting revenue growth can experience selling pressure when profit margins, guidance, or investment spending fail to meet expectations. Apple provides a recent example. The company warned of pressure on its gross margins due to rising memory chip costs, contributing to a decline in its share price. Finally, uncertainty surrounding the US midterm elections is encouraging some investors to reduce exposure to higher-risk assets. The combination of these factors is contributing to a broader reassessment of technology stocks, although selling pressure does not necessarily indicate that investors are abandoning the equity market altogether. US Midterm Elections Add to Stock Market Uncertainty The US midterm elections represent another significant event for financial markets, particularly as investors consider the potential implications for fiscal policy, regulation, and government spending. President Donald Trump’s Republican Party faces a challenge in maintaining control of Congress, with opinion polls indicating that Democrats could gain seats. The election outcome could influence future government policies, including taxation, technology regulation, energy production, and trade relations. A divided Congress could make it more difficult for the administration to introduce major legislative changes, potentially limiting certain policy initiatives. Conversely, continued Republican control could provide greater flexibility to pursue the administration’s economic agenda. Both scenarios could influence Treasury yields, the US Dollar, and equity valuations. Historically, US equities have often performed positively in the months following midterm elections, as the removal of political uncertainty can support investor confidence. However, historical performance does not guarantee future results. The current market environment is also being influenced by elevated interest rates, geopolitical tensions, and questions surrounding AI investment returns. Consequently, traders will be monitoring not only the election results but also the market’s initial reaction and whether buying activity returns to the technology sector. Oil Prices Rebound as US-Iran Tensions Continue Oil prices are experiencing considerable volatility as investors attempt to determine whether diplomatic negotiations between the United States and Iran could lead to a reduction in geopolitical tensions. Brent crude fell by more than 7% on Monday following signs that both countries could be willing to pursue negotiations. The possibility of a diplomatic resolution encouraged traders to reassess the geopolitical risk premium incorporated into oil prices. However, the decline was partially reversed during Tuesday’s Asian session, with Brent crude recovering towards $105 per barrel. The rebound followed reports of US military strikes targeting Iran’s Qeshm Island, raising concerns that negotiations may not result in an immediate reduction in hostilities. Why Are Oil Prices Important for the Stock Market? Oil prices can significantly influence inflation expectations, interest rate forecasts, and corporate profitability. A sustained decline in energy prices could ease inflationary pressures, potentially improving the outlook for consumers and businesses. Lower inflation could also reduce the need for restrictive monetary policy. However, a renewed increase in oil prices could have the opposite effect, placing additional pressure on companies through higher operating and transportation costs. For technology stocks, which are particularly sensitive to interest rate expectations, prolonged inflationary pressure could further complicate the recovery. Investors will therefore be monitoring developments in the Middle East closely, particularly any indications of a diplomatic agreement or additional disruptions to energy supplies. Australian Dollar Declines Despite Fifth RBA Interest Rate Hike The Australian Dollar weakened following the Reserve Bank of Australia’s decision to increase interest rates by 25 basis points to 4.85%, their highest level since 2008. The decision marked the central bank’s fifth interest rate increase of 2026, bringing the total tightening this year to 125 basis points. The rate increase was widely anticipated following persistent inflationary pressures. Australia’s annual headline inflation rate reached 4.3% in September, remaining above the central bank’s target range of 2% to 3%. Despite the increase, the Australian Dollar declined by approximately 0.3% against the US Dollar, briefly falling below 0.70. The currency’s decline highlights an important aspect of financial markets: an interest rate increase does not automatically strengthen a currency. In this case, the decision was already largely reflected in market prices, while the central bank’s divided vote suggested that policymakers may be becoming more cautious about further tightening. Six members voted in favour of increasing rates, while three preferred to leave them unchanged. The split has encouraged speculation that the RBA may be approaching the end of its tightening cycle, particularly as higher borrowing costs place additional pressure on households and economic growth. Future Australian Dollar movements will likely depend on incoming inflation data, employment figures and changes in expectations for the RBA’s next policy decisions. Stock Market Outlook: What Should Traders Watch Next? The coming sessions could prove particularly important for global financial markets as several major developments converge. US midterm election results: The composition of Congress could influence expectations for fiscal policy, government spending, and regulation. Unexpected outcomes may trigger volatility in stocks, bonds, and currencies. Technology sector performance: Investors will be monitoring whether the NASDAQ 100 can establish a recovery following its technical correction. Semiconductor stocks may remain particularly sensitive to changes in AI investment expectations. US economic data: Upcoming employment figures, including job openings and nonfarm payrolls, could influence expectations for the Federal Reserve’s interest rate path. Stronger-than-expected data may support Treasury yields and the US Dollar, while weaker figures could raise concerns about economic growth. Oil prices and geopolitical tensions: Any meaningful progress towards a US-Iran agreement could reduce oil’s geopolitical risk premium. However, further military developments or supply disruptions could renew upward pressure on prices. Central bank expectations: Following Australia’s latest interest rate increase, traders will also be monitoring upcoming monetary policy announcements in Europe and changes in global inflation expectations. Can Global Stock Markets Recover? The immediate outlook remains uncertain as investors balance the potential for a recovery against persistent economic and geopolitical risks. Technology stocks may attract renewed buying interest if valuations become more attractive and corporate earnings demonstrate that AI-related investments are delivering sustainable returns. A reduction in geopolitical tensions and lower oil prices could also support market sentiment by easing inflation concerns. However, if investors continue to question AI profitability, or if election results and economic data increase uncertainty, further volatility cannot be ruled out. The key question is whether the recent decline represents a temporary adjustment in market expectations or the beginning of a more prolonged shift away from technology-led growth. For now, market participants are likely to remain sensitive to economic announcements, political developments and changes in investor risk appetite. Key Takeaways Asian equities experience significant losses as AI concerns intensify. South Korea's KOSPI fell by as much as 4.1%, while Taiwan’s benchmark declined approximately 3.3%, reflecting renewed selling pressure in semiconductor and technology stocks. The Nasdaq 100 enters correction territory ahead of the US midterm elections. A decline of more than 10% from its peak highlights growing concerns about technology valuations, AI investment returns, and the potential implications of political uncertainty. Oil prices remain volatile as US-Iran relations influence market sentiment. Brent crude recovered towards $105 after falling more than 7% on Monday, with diplomatic negotiations and ongoing military developments creating uncertainty over future energy prices. Currency markets react to central bank decisions and changing interest rate expectations. The Australian Dollar declined despite the RBA’s fifth interest rate increase of 2026, while the Chinese yuan weakened following measures introduced by the People’s Bank of China to moderate its appreciation. 🌟 XT.COM Trading Bot: An Introduction to Automated Cryptocurrency Trading Getting started with crypto trading can feel overwhelming when charts change every second and digital assets trade day and night. The XT.COM Trading Bot is worth exploring for people interested in combining ICT trading ideas with automated execution through a compatible MetaTrader 5 setup. This approach allows traders to investigate how predefined rules can help organize market decisions without requiring them to perform every step manually. 💡 What Does Automated Trading Mean? Automated trading uses software to perform trading tasks according to a set of instructions. Depending on the system, these tasks may include checking market conditions, identifying potential entries, opening positions, and managing existing trades. The purpose is to follow a defined process rather than make spontaneous decisions whenever the market moves. However, software can only follow its programming, and poor rules can still produce poor outcomes. 📚 Four ICT Terms Worth Learning 📈 Market Structure This describes how prices move through highs and lows. Studying these movements can help traders understand whether the market appears to be trending upward, moving downward, or consolidating. 💧 Liquidity Sweep Sometimes price moves beyond an important high or low before changing direction. ICT traders study these movements for potential trading opportunities, but reversals are never guaranteed. 🟨 Order Block An order block is a price zone that traders monitor for a possible reaction. Its importance depends on the surrounding chart conditions and the strategy being used. ⚡ Fair Value Gap A fair value gap is an area associated with rapid price movement. Traders may examine it when looking for potential retracements or continuation patterns. A Practical Trading Workflow 🤖 How Can These Ideas Be Used in an EA? An Expert Advisor applies programmed conditions to trading activities. In a strategy based on ICT principles, the software may evaluate selected market patterns and follow predefined execution rules. The trader's role remains important. You need to understand the strategy, verify the software's requirements, and choose suitable risk settings before considering live trading. 🔎 What Should You Check Before Starting? Confirm that your exchange and trading account are compatible. Learn how the EA determines its trading conditions. Understand the available stop-loss and position-sizing settings. Test the configuration before using real money. Review performance regularly rather than assuming the system will always work. 🛡️ Keep Expectations Realistic Crypto prices can rise or fall sharply, sometimes within minutes. Automated systems cannot eliminate market risk, and technical problems can affect execution. Never assume that an EA will recover losses or deliver consistent profits. 🚀 Final Thoughts ICT-based automation may be an interesting option for traders who want to explore a more organized approach to crypto markets. Learning the underlying concepts, testing the setup, and applying sensible risk controls are more important than simply switching on an automated system.

Knowledge, passion, hard work and skills

I agree that long term trading requires more than just market knowledge. Traders need practical skills, patience, and the willingness to keep learning. Hard work helps improve decision-making, while passion keeps you motivated through difficult periods. It is also important to manage risk carefully and choose a broker with suitable conditions. -
I think long term trading can suit people who prefer fewer trades and have patience to wait for larger market moves. However, it requires enough capital, careful risk management, and the ability to handle price swings. The best trading style depends on your strategy, schedule, and comfort with risk.

A separate note on privacy, because it's not just a word in the description. The service doesn't collect IP addresses, doesn't keep visit logs and doesn't store operation history after the order is completed. All information is deleted automatically, and recovering it later is impossible. For those who need more, there's an onion version of the site and Tor access, which hides the user's location. A PGP key is published for secure communication with support. No documents, no verification, just a digital address on the blockchain. This approach works not only for "dirty" coins, but also for those who simply don't want to leave extra data on third-party services. The exchange goes without registration, no account needs to be created.

SuperEx Guide: How Can New Users Make the Most of SuperEx’s Different Features? (I) #SuperEx #Guide #NewUsers Many users register with an exchange, deposit funds immediately, and then look for whichever token has recently risen the most. From the perspective of capital efficiency and risk control, however, this is not the best sequence. SuperEx provides new-user tasks covering registration, the first deposit, and the first trade. Users who do not review the rules in advance may complete an operation but miss the reward because they did not register for the task, deposited too little after fees, placed an unfilled order, or forgot to claim the reward manually. New users therefore do not need to try every feature immediately. A more practical path is to claim accessible benefits first, complete the deposit, trading, and exit process with a small amount, and then select other products according to the purpose of their capital. This six-part series will cover new-user tasks, spot trading, futures, futures copy trading, spot grid trading, SuperEx Earn, Free Market, stock trading, 1USD, SuperEx Pay, Space, DAO Academy, and the referral rebate system. Each article will examine two related areas, focusing on who they are suitable for, how to use them, how to allocate capital, and which risks are commonly overlooked. Feature One: New-User Tasks The value of new-user tasks is not limited to receiving rewards. They guide users through registration, deposits, and trading, allowing them to become familiar with the basic SuperEx workflow at a relatively low cost. According to the information currently displayed on the SuperEx website, new users can participate in the following tasks: Complete registration and the relevant beginner tasks to receive a 100%-winning digital mystery-box draw with a maximum displayed value of 1,000 USDT; Make a first deposit of at least 20 USDT to receive a 10 USDT reward; Complete at least 20 USDT in first-trade volume to receive another mystery-box draw; Check the Campaign Center for check-ins, welcome bonuses, trading rewards, and other limited-time promotions. Specific tasks, reward formats, and claim requirements are subject to the live pages on the SuperEx official website. A 100% Win Rate Does Not Mean Everyone Receives 1,000 USDT The most common misunderstanding is assuming that “up to 1,000 USDT” and a “100% win rate” mean every user will receive 1,000 USDT directly. A 100% win rate means every eligible mystery box contains a reward. However, that reward may consist of digital assets, fee-deduction coupons, or other platform benefits. The content and value may differ between users. After opening a mystery box, users should check: Which account received the reward; Whether it must be activated manually; Whether it has an expiration date; Whether it can be traded or withdrawn; Whether it is limited to a specific product; Whether additional conditions apply. Maximizing a reward is not about seeing the largest possible number on the page. It is about making sure the reward can actually be used correctly before it expires. Step One: Check the Task Pages After Registration After registration, do not rush to deposit. First, visit the New User Zone, Task Center, and Campaign Center to see which tasks are currently available. Pay particular attention to: Whether registration is required before participating; How long new-user eligibility remains valid; Whether the deposit task is based on gross or net deposits; Whether internal account transfers count as deposits; Whether the first-trade task applies to spot or futures; Whether the reward is cash, a token, a coupon, or trial funds; Whether the reward must be claimed manually. Completing a task and receiving the reward may be two separate steps. After each operation, return to the task page and check its status. Step Two: Do Not Deposit Exactly the Minimum Amount The current displayed first-deposit threshold is 20 USDT, but users should avoid transferring exactly 20 USDT. If the sending platform charges a withdrawal fee, or the task is calculated according to the net credited amount, the amount reaching the SuperEx account may fall below 20 USDT. A safer approach is to: Confirm that the deposit asset and network match; Check the minimum deposit amount; Allow for network and withdrawal fees; Make sure the net credited amount exceeds the threshold; Verify the task status after the funds arrive. Accuracy matters more than speed during the first deposit. Blockchain transfers usually cannot be reversed if the wrong asset, network, or address is used. Step Three: Identify the Actual Form of the 10 USDT Reward Depending on the current campaign rules, the displayed 10 USDT reward may be distributed as cash, a fee-deduction coupon, trial funds, or another type of benefit. Different reward types work in different ways: Cash or available assets: Can generally be used for trading, while withdrawal eligibility depends on the rules; Fee-deduction coupons: Can only offset eligible trading fees; Futures trial funds: May be used as margin or to offset fees, funding costs, and losses, but usually expire; Token rewards: Require attention to minimum order sizes, market liquidity, and withdrawal rules. Do not create unnecessary trades merely to use a coupon. A coupon provides real value only when it reduces the cost of a trade the user already intended to make. Step Four: Complete the First Trading Cycle With a Small Amount After completing at least 20 USDT in first-trade volume, new users can receive another digital mystery-box opportunity. The primary goal of this trade should not be immediate profit. It should be to understand: How to select a trading pair; How to distinguish the base asset from the quote asset; How to place, cancel, and review an order; Whether the order has been fully filled; Which account receives the purchased asset; How to sell it and convert it back into USDT. Submitting an unfilled limit order does not normally generate actual trading volume. After the trade, check both the execution history and the task status instead of assuming that order submission alone is sufficient. How Should Users With Different Budgets Complete the Tasks? Budget: 20–50 USDT The priority should be completing the full process at a low cost: Deposit slightly more than the minimum requirement; Use only part of the funds for the first spot trade; Keep a small USDT reserve; Identify the reward type before taking another action; Avoid repeated trading merely to chase additional campaigns. Small balances are particularly vulnerable to fees, spreads, and operational mistakes. Avoiding one unnecessary trade may be more valuable than receiving another coupon. Budget: 100–500 USDT These users can divide their capital into three parts: One portion for the first trade and order practice; One portion kept in USDT for future opportunities; One portion reserved for learning about grid trading, Earn, or other products later. A larger budget does not need to be fully deployed on the first day. Users should first verify that deposits, transfers, trading, and selling work as expected. Budget: Above 500 USDT Users with larger budgets should be even more careful to complete a small test first: Make a small initial deposit; Complete one small purchase and sale; Confirm that security settings are complete; Review the deposit and withdrawal routes; Increase capital gradually only after completing the full cycle. A larger budget does not require faster decisions. Discovering problems with a small amount is generally safer than learning after transferring substantial assets. Feature Two: Spot Trading Spot trading is usually the first product most users encounter in the crypto market. Few people begin by going directly into futures. However, spot trading should not be treated as overly simple, because execution, liquidity, position sizing, and exit planning all matter. Spot trading does not involve futures liquidation, but users can still suffer substantial losses due to poor entry prices, insufficient liquidity, excessive position sizes, or the absence of an exit plan. First: Confirm That Funds Are in the Correct Account After a deposit arrives, the assets may not yet be in the Spot Account. Users may need to use the Transfer function to move funds from the Funding or P2P Account into the Spot Account. Before placing an order, confirm that: The funds are in the Spot Account; They are not reserved by another open order; The amount meets the minimum order requirement; The selected market is spot rather than futures or another section; The purchased asset and payment asset are correct. Internal account transfers are generally not blockchain transactions. They do not generate a blockchain transaction hash and may not count toward a deposit task. Second: Prioritize Liquid Trading Pairs The latest displayed price represents only the most recent transaction. It does not guarantee that users can buy or sell any quantity at that price. To evaluate liquidity, review: The spread between the best bid and ask; Buy-side and sell-side order-book depth; Recent actual trading volume; Whether the order is large relative to available depth; How much slippage a large transaction may cause. For new users, learning with relatively liquid mainstream pairs is generally more practical than buying a highly volatile token with little real demand. Third: Choose Between Limit and Market Orders Correctly A limit order allows users to specify an acceptable execution price. It provides greater price control, but the order may take time to fill or may not fill at all. A market order executes against available order-book prices. It prioritizes speed, but the final average execution price may differ from the latest displayed price. New users can follow these principles: Prefer limit orders when price control matters; Consider market orders only when immediate execution is more important; Avoid large market orders in illiquid assets; Check whether an order is fully filled, partially filled, or unfilled; Cancel unnecessary open orders so funds are not reserved indefinitely. Fourth: Do Not Use the Entire Balance for the First Purchase Investing the entire balance at once may appear capital-efficient, but it removes the user’s flexibility. New users can divide their capital into: Test capital: Used to learn the purchase, execution, and selling process; Planned position: Added gradually after the trade thesis is confirmed; Reserve capital: Kept in USDT for volatility or other opportunities. Keeping part of the balance in USDT is not necessarily wasted capital. It preserves the user’s ability to respond when conditions change. Fifth: Decide How to Exit Before Buying New users often spend significant time deciding what to buy but very little time planning how to sell. Before buying, answer: What is the maximum acceptable loss? At what price is the original thesis no longer valid? Will profits be taken at once or in stages? Should the position be reduced if volume declines? When might the capital be needed again? If the asset cannot be sold at the latest price, is the potential slippage acceptable? A short-term trade without an exit plan can easily become an unwanted long-term holding after the price declines. A Practical First-Week Schedule Day 1: Complete registration, configure security settings, and review the New User Zone and Campaign Center. Day 2: Make a small first deposit and confirm that the asset and network are correct. Day 3: Transfer funds to the Spot Account and complete a small first spot trade. Day 4: Check task status, open the mystery box, and identify the reward type. Day 5: Practice limit orders, cancellations, and order-history review. Day 6: Observe order-book depth, spreads, volume, and slippage without rushing to increase the position. Day 7: Review balance changes, fees, and rewards before deciding whether to explore another feature. Final Thoughts For new users, maximizing returns does not mean claiming every possible reward, nor does it mean increasing trading volume merely to complete tasks. A more practical objective is to: Avoid missing accessible new-user benefits; Avoid taking unnecessary risks for a reward; Complete the deposit, trading, and exit cycle with a small amount; Understand the purpose and expiry of each reward; Learn one feature before moving to the next. SuperEx new-user tasks can reduce the cost of learning how deposits and trading work, while spot trading provides a direct introduction to trading pairs, orders, liquidity, and position management. In Part II, we will examine futures trading and futures copy trading. SuperEx futures copy trading is currently paused while the feature is being optimized. The next article will therefore focus on futures risk management and explain how users should evaluate lead traders and set appropriate copy-trading limits once the service resumes. Disclaimer This article is provided for product education and risk management only. It does not constitute investment, trading, or financial advice. Task requirements, reward formats, product availability, and campaign periods may change. Users should refer to the live SuperEx pages and official rules before participating. Digital assets are highly volatile, and users should make independent decisions based on their financial circumstances and risk tolerance. -

SuperEx Educational Series: Understanding Why Do Prices Sometimes Fall After Major Positive News?(I) #SuperEx #EducationalSeries Crypto markets have a special way of making people question reality. A project spends weeks building anticipation, then finally announces a mainnet launch, major partnership, product release, or regulatory milestone. The official poster is glowing, the community calls it a “historic moment,” and even silent group members suddenly begin posting rockets. Surely the price should rise? Instead, it jumps briefly after the announcement and then reverses. By the time you understand what happened, the news is still trending while your account has begun providing an unpaid lesson in risk management. The most common explanation is “sell the news.” That phrase is not wrong, but it describes the result without explaining the process. It is like saying someone has a fever because their temperature increased. Every word is correct, yet very little has been explained. Why did the price rise beforehand? How much expectation was already reflected? Why can a positive result still disappoint the market? Why does project progress not always benefit the token? These questions are the real starting point for understanding why prices can fall after positive news. Price Isn’t a Judgment of the News — It’s What the Market Is Willing to Pay for the Future Many people instinctively classify news as positive or negative and then make a seemingly natural assumption: Positive news means prices rise. Negative news means prices fall. The problem is that markets are not comment sections. Prices do not click “like” or “dislike” under announcements. Market prices are formed when participants trade real capital based on possible future outcomes. The important question is not whether the news is good, but how much better or worse it is than what the market previously expected. Suppose a project will announce an upgrade result one month from now. Research firms, market makers, long-term holders, and short-term traders will not wait until the announcement to begin thinking. They may study code updates, governance proposals, testnet data, development progress, wallet activity, and public statements, then build positions according to their conclusions. If more participants believe the upgrade will succeed, buying demand appears in advance and the price begins rising before the announcement. On announcement day, “the upgrade succeeded” may be officially confirmed for the first time, but it is not necessarily the first time the market considered it. Public confirmation happens today; pricing may have started weeks earlier. This is what it means for expectations to be priced in. It does not mean everyone knew the outcome in advance, nor that markets are always correct. It means traders continually update probabilities based on available information, and those judgments enter prices through buying and selling. SEC market materials similarly explain that when major news arrives, participants process the information and use trading to update the market’s consensus valuation. Prices reflect not the headline itself, but the valuation produced after the information is interpreted. SEC: How Markets React to News It’s Not the Good News That Moves Prices, but the Gap Between Expectations and Reality The price reaction following an announcement can be simplified into one relationship: Actual outcome minus previous market expectation equals the expectation gap. If the actual result clearly exceeds expectations, prices are more likely to rise. If the result broadly matches expectations, the reaction may be limited. If the result is positive but weaker than anticipated, prices may still fall. The counterintuitive part is that a positive outcome and a negative expectation gap can exist at the same time. Understanding Pricing Through Probability Suppose a token’s base value is $0.80 while the market waits for an important application result. If approved, traders believe it may be worth $1.50. If rejected, it may return to $0.80. The market currently estimates a 70% probability of approval. Using a simplified probability-weighted calculation, the market may price it near $1.29: Seventy percent of $1.50, plus thirty percent of $0.80. This does not mean approval is certain. It means a relatively high probability of success is already embedded in the price. Now imagine the application is approved, but with strict restrictions that reduce its commercial value. The market recalculates the approved scenario at only $1.20. As a result, the price may fall from $1.29 to $1.20 immediately after a clearly positive announcement. The market is not saying that approval is negative. It is correcting assumptions that had become too optimistic. That is why identifying whether news is positive or negative is insufficient. You must also understand what version of the future was already embedded in the pre-announcement price. Good News Must Pass Three Key Tests Before It Can Truly Support a Token’s Price In crypto markets, at least three gates stand between “the project made progress” and “the token should appreciate.” Many analyses see the first gate and immediately jump to a price conclusion, leaving imagination to handle everything in between. Gate One: Is the Event Real, and Does It Add New Information? A project announcement does not necessarily provide new information. If the mainnet date was published a month earlier and testing progressed smoothly, the official launch mainly confirms an existing expectation. It removes some uncertainty but does not suddenly create an entirely new growth story. What usually moves prices is the previously unknown component. Examples include an earlier-than-expected launch, performance exceeding test results, a significant new use case, or a partnership broader than anticipated. New information can force the market to revise its valuation. The first question after seeing an announcement should therefore not be, “Is this positive?”It should be: how much of this information did the market not know yesterday? Gate Two: Does the Event Change Real Demand or Supply? Even if an announcement contains new information, the next question is whether it changes the asset’s economic conditions. A partnership with a famous brand may generate attention. But if it involves only joint promotion without user migration, product integration, or capital inflow, its effect on token demand may be limited. Changes that may influence longer-term valuation include required token ownership, protocol revenue used for buybacks, staking that reduces circulating supply, or application growth that creates sustained on-chain demand. At the same time, the supply side must be examined for token unlocks, new issuance, staking rewards, or early-investor exits. An additional $10 million of demand sounds promising. But if $30 million of sellable supply enters the market at the same time, the price may not cooperate with the project’s celebration. Markets are not responsible for maintaining the atmosphere of a launch event. They process buyers and sellers. Gate Three: Can the Token Capture the Value Created by the Project? This is the most important and frequently overlooked gate. Growth in users, product revenue, or developer activity is positive. But if the token does not participate in revenue distribution, fee payment, governance, staking security, or supply adjustment, a gap may remain between project value and token value. For example, a Web3 application may double its users after launching a new feature, while allowing all payments to be made in stablecoins and directing fees to an operating company. The product may become more successful without automatically creating persistent buying demand for its token. When analyzing major positive news, do not stop at “This is good for the project.” Ask how value enters the token, who must buy it, who has a reason to hold it, whether supply changes, and whether the mechanism becomes effective immediately or only after several years. What Does It Usually Mean When Prices Fall After Positive News? A decline after positive news does not have a single explanation. Several mechanisms may operate independently or at the same time. First: The Outcome Matches Expectations but Adds No New Upside If the market was already priced for a successful upgrade, success merely confirms the existing assumption. Further gains require new buyers willing to enter at higher prices, and those buyers usually need a reason beyond what was already expected. Second: The Headline Is Positive, but the Details Disappoint A headline may announce a “strategic partnership,” while the market expected full product integration. The final arrangement may involve only joint marketing without an implementation timeline. The news remains positive, but its economic impact falls well below what was priced in. Third: The Project Benefits Long Term but Lacks Short-Term Price Support Some developments are genuinely important but require time to generate users, revenue, and token demand. The market may first correct an excessive short-term valuation and then wait for long-term results. A good project and a good entry price are not the same thing. Positive news and immediate appreciation are not sold as a mandatory bundle. Fourth: The News Creates Attention and an Exit Opportunity Major announcements often increase liquidity and trading volume. Participants who bought earlier may use the new attention to realize profits. This does not automatically mean the announcement is fraudulent. It shows that participants operate on different timelines: late buyers are trading the future, while early capital is settling the past. The third installment of this series will examine how leveraged longs, funding rates, open interest, market-maker hedging, and liquidations can amplify declines. For now, the key idea is that selling after an announcement does not always represent a sudden bearish view. It may simply mean that an earlier trading objective has been completed. A Complete Case Study: Why Did the Price Still Fall Despite a Successful Technical Upgrade? Suppose the A protocol plans a major upgrade in June. The upgrade will improve network capacity and may introduce a new fee-distribution mechanism. In April, the team publishes testing progress. In May, testnet data looks strong. The community then begins circulating claims that token buybacks will begin immediately after the upgrade. As expectations build, A rises from $4 to $7.50. The price now reflects more than the successful completion of the upgrade. It also embeds expectations of higher network usage, immediate fee-funded buybacks, and reduced circulating supply. In June, the upgrade launches on time and the network operates normally. However, the announcement states that fee distribution still requires a governance vote, with a buyback decision at least three months away. Meanwhile, an ecosystem incentive program will release additional tokens over the next six weeks. Technically, the launch is a clear success. Economically, the result is weaker than what token holders expected. After the announcement, A falls from $7.50 to $6.40. Some may say the market is irrational. In reality, it is recalculating three questions: when buybacks may begin, whether they will be approved, and whether real demand can absorb the incoming supply. If the upgrade later produces sustained growth in users and revenue, $6.40 may represent a reset after excessive expectations. If users fail to grow, governance remains delayed, and token emissions continue, the earlier move from $4 to $7.50 may have been driven primarily by imagination rather than realized value. Whether the same positive event represents a short-term reset or a weakening valuation thesis cannot be determined solely by the color of the announcement-day candle. Real data must answer that question. A Common Misconception: Does a Price Drop Mean Someone Had Advance Knowledge of Bad News? Not necessarily. A decline may result from an outcome falling short of expectations, short-term profit-taking, new token supply, weaker market-wide risk appetite, or large orders affecting limited liquidity. Manipulation, misleading promotion, and information asymmetry can exist. But a price move that contradicts personal expectations is not automatic proof of a conspiracy. The SEC also cautions investors against relying solely on social media, promotional messages, or individual recommendations and encourages independent verification of sources and conflicts of interest. SEC: Analyzing Investment Recommendations Another misconception is: “If expectations can be priced in early, researching news is pointless.” The opposite is true. Research simply needs to move beyond “Is this good news?” toward “What did the market expect, and what has reality changed?” Using SuperEx as an Example: Don’t Just Follow the News — Watch How the Market Reacts Taking SuperEx as an example, when a project releases major news, users should not focus only on the announcement or latest traded price. Candlesticks, trading volume, order-book data, and market depth provide additional context. The SuperEx spot interface presents price movements, volume, depth, and order information, helping users assess whether a post-news rally has persistent buying support or only a brief burst of transactions. SuperEx Spot Trading Guide If the latest local price rises rapidly while bids and market depth remain weak, users should question whether the price can withstand meaningful selling. If several major markets rise together, volume persists, spreads remain stable, and buyers replenish liquidity after pullbacks, the evidence for broader market repricing becomes stronger. In derivatives markets, SuperEx uses a multi-market index-price mechanism that selects data from more than five major exchanges and handles invalid data and abnormal deviations. This helps reduce the influence of unusual trades on a single venue. SuperEx Index Calculation Rules Platform data screening, index construction, and risk controls cannot predict post-news direction for users, but they can provide a broader market perspective. Mature analysis does not automatically convert positive news into a buy decision. It evaluates the amount of new information, the token’s value-capture mechanism, the price appreciation that already occurred, and the response of real capital. Conclusion: Markets Don’t Trade the News Itself, but the Gap Between Reality and Expectations A decline after major positive news does not necessarily mean the project failed or the market became irrational. More commonly, the market had already built expectations from available clues and probabilities, while the final result failed to exceed the future embedded in the price. To understand this phenomenon, separate three questions: Is the news itself positive? Did the actual result exceed expectations? Can the value created by the project flow into the token? The first question determines the headline. The second influences the short-term price reaction. The third determines whether the development can provide lasting value support. Answering only the first is like judging a film by its poster. The cast may look impressive and the tagline may be exciting, but the box office still depends on whether people actually buy tickets. The next time major positive news arrives, resist immediately saying, “Surely this must go up.” Ask a more useful question first: how much had the market already paid for this outcome before it was announced? In the next installment, we will examine how an expectation enters market prices before the official announcement through information diffusion, probability assessment, and capital positioning. Each broker has its own spread policy, which may vary. In general, the currency pair in question also influences the size of the spread. For instance, the EURUSD pair typically features the lowest spread because it is highly liquid. Some ECN brokers even offer spreads as low as zero. The spread also depends on liquidity; when market liquidity is low, spreads tend to widen.

GBP/USD maintains a mild bullish bias amid a wait-and-see approach The GBP/USD currency pair is trading with a mild upward bias, consolidating around the 1.34100 level. Overall, the market remains in a "wait-and-see" mode as it faces a series of high-impact events throughout the week. According to the FXOpen chart, GBP/USD reached a high at roughly 1.34481 and a low of 1.33791, closing at 1.34118. The pair formed a bullish candle with a long upper shadow. On the USD side, the market is exercising caution ahead of the midterm elections and upcoming labor market data. Large movements in the US Dollar are being constrained as market attention shifts toward the US midterm elections. The US Dollar Index, which measures the USD's performance against six major currencies, is currently consolidating within the 101.500–101.737 range. The Federal Reserve recently held interest rates steady, and its cautious stance regarding future policy decisions remains a key factor for the US Dollar. US employment data, scheduled for release on Friday, November 6, is also a focal point, as it could shift expectations regarding the Fed's policy trajectory. Regarding the GBP, the primary market focus is the Bank of England’s (BoE) interest rate decision. The BoE is expected to maintain a relatively hawkish stance compared to other central banks, aiming to curb persistent domestic inflation. Market expectations that the BoE will not rush into aggressive rate cuts provide a strong fundamental underpinning for GBP/USD, helping it hold above the psychological 1.34000 level. The BoE’s current interest rate stands at 3.75%. The market anticipates a 25-basis-point hike to 4.00% this Thursday, November 5. UK inflation reached 3.5% in September, higher than previously projected; elevated oil prices increase the risk of persistent inflation. The UK manufacturing PMI was recorded at 52.8 in October, up from 51.9. A reading above 50 indicates an expansion in manufacturing activity, which provides support for the GBP as it suggests that economic activity continues to grow. From a technical perspective, the GBPUSD pair is positioned near a flat EMA200, with an RSI reading of 58. The pair is expected to trade within a reasonable range of approximately 1.33400–1.34800. The nearest support level is around 1.33850, with a subsequent target near 1.33400. The nearest resistance level is around 1.34500, with a subsequent target near 1.34800. This forecast could be wrong.

Date: 2nd November 2026. US Midterm Elections 2026: Will Stock Markets Rally or Fall? The US midterm elections take place on Tuesday, 3 November, and investors are preparing for potential volatility across global financial markets. With control of Congress at stake, the outcome could influence government spending, regulation, and economic policy during the remainder of President Trump’s term. However, historical data suggests that elections do not necessarily determine the longer-term direction of stock markets. In fact, the S&P 500 has demonstrated a remarkably consistent pattern of gains following previous midterm elections. Could 2026 be different? The S&P 500’s Remarkable Midterm Election Record Since 1950, the S&P 500 has recorded positive returns in the 12 months following every US midterm election, with an average gain of approximately 15%, according to JPMorgan Asset Management. The six-month performance has also been historically positive, partly because political uncertainty tends to ease once election results become clear. Investors generally dislike uncertainty surrounding taxation, government spending, and regulation. Once the political landscape becomes clearer, attention often shifts back towards corporate earnings, economic growth, and monetary policy. However, historical performance does not guarantee future returns, particularly when market conditions differ significantly from previous election cycles. Why the 2026 Elections Could Be Different There are several reasons why this year’s elections could have a different impact on financial markets. Firstly, US stock valuations are unusually elevated. The S&P 500’s cyclically adjusted price-to-earnings ratio currently stands near 40.7, substantially above its historical average of approximately 20. Secondly, technology stocks have experienced significant selling pressure as investors question whether substantial investments in artificial intelligence will generate sufficient profits. The NASDAQ 100 declined 3.5% on Friday, while the Philadelphia Semiconductor Index lost 7.2%, highlighting the vulnerability of technology companies to changing investor expectations. Finally, geopolitical tensions involving Iran have pushed oil prices higher, increasing inflationary pressures and complicating the Federal Reserve’s monetary policy outlook. These factors suggest that economic fundamentals could have a greater influence on stock market performance than the election results themselves. How Could the Election Results Affect Financial Markets? The composition of Congress could influence investor expectations regarding future economic policies. A divided Congress, where political control is shared between Republicans and Democrats, could make major legislative changes more difficult. Historically, this has sometimes coincided with stronger stock market performance because it reduces the likelihood of substantial policy shifts. Alternatively, Democratic control of both chambers could result in greater legislative and regulatory scrutiny of the administration’s policies, potentially influencing government spending, technology companies, and the energy sector. However, the relationship between political control and stock market performance is far from straightforward. Economic growth, corporate profitability, and monetary policy have historically played a more significant role in determining longer-term market trends. What Could Happen to Gold, the Dollar and Oil? The election results could influence several major financial assets, particularly if the outcome differs from market expectations. Gold: Increased political uncertainty or a deterioration in risk appetite could support demand for safe-haven assets. However, higher Treasury yields and expectations of further Federal Reserve rate hikes could limit Gold’s potential gains. US Dollar: The Dollar could react to changes in Treasury yields, fiscal policy expectations, and investor risk appetite. The direction will depend on how markets interpret the election outcome and its implications for economic growth. Oil: Energy prices could remain particularly sensitive to developments involving Iran. Investors will be monitoring whether US foreign policy changes following the elections increase or reduce geopolitical risks. US Stock Indices: The S&P 500 and NASDAQ 100 could experience increased volatility as investors reassess fiscal policy, AI regulation, and the broader economic outlook. Importantly, these reactions are not guaranteed. Markets may have already priced in some potential election outcomes, reducing the impact of the actual results. Market Outlook: Will History Repeat Itself? The US midterm elections arrive at a challenging time for financial markets. Although historical trends suggest that equities often strengthen after midterm elections, elevated valuations, persistent inflation risks and uncertainty surrounding AI investments could challenge this pattern. Investors will also be monitoring Friday's US Non-Farm Payrolls report, which could influence expectations for the Federal Reserve's December interest rate decision. Ultimately, the elections could trigger short-term volatility, but the sustainability of any market rally will likely depend on corporate earnings, inflation, interest rates and geopolitical developments. For traders, the important consideration is not simply which party controls Congress, but how the outcome changes market expectations and whether those changes are reflected in asset prices.
