alice29
Last May in Japan, one couple's wedding got the high-tech treatment when a robot priest presided over the ceremony. The I-Fairy robot, manufactured by Kokoro Co., became the first robot to lead a wedding ceremony. The robot's voice and speech can be controlled by connecting it to a PC and, in addition to speaking, the I-Fairy can make gestures and dance, the company says. But if you want to feature it at your next event, it will cost you: the I-Fairy's price tag is about $75,180.
Guest phoenix88
What a world, this actually a new funny thing and question in my head, is it valid? I mean their relationship.
pjbabia
What a world, this actually a new funny thing and question in my head, is it valid? I mean their relationship. If the wedding is in Roman Catholic, which I am, then it is not valid. It is indeed a funny invention. They can use it in whatever ways but not in marriage or any other sacraments. Andry
It is really weird, is in the world lack of priest so we used robot priest hahaha... If me, I won't use that robot because wedding is not funny thing for me.
alice29
yeah this is really a fun wedding but i guess it's not valid as sacred person like a real priest can only make it valid. but if you're thinking of a second wedding then why not try this hi-tech one. some people are really weird that they want to be wed in different ways and in different places.
neng
well still i would prefer a human priest to be on my wedding, it seems too awkward when a robot will bless our marriage
Andry
@neng Yes, that's right. And also that is not necessary to use robot as priest of our wedding. That's realy weird if there is person who prefer to use robot as his/her priest of his/her wedding.
neng
it is really weird, i would still prefer a human, anyways here in my country there is not shortage of human priest so i think no one will experience that kind of thing

The problem is that many couples are not getting married in the church that is why there is only few weddings in the churches. that is still bad news though. Andry
@neng and pjbabia Many priest or few priest, I think there is still priest right? So I think we didn't need robot as our priest except there is no one who wanted to be priest anymore in the world hahaha... Our wedding is not joke so I didn't do that :)
alice29
it's not really that weird to have a robot priest, and i want to try that someday. just try to accept that we are in the generation that almost everything is upgrading or changing. means i'd like to have it as my second wedding! just for fun. Andry
@alice Yes, that was okay if you used that as your funny things but it's not good to use it as your truly wedding. It's okay if we used that just for fun only :)
pjbabia
@Andry, I agree with you Andry, a good use that we can make out of robot is for fun and also to make things fast.. we can make the robot do the chores like cleaning the floor, and mapping the floor too.. hehehe robo-maid...LOL
Andry
@pjbabia hahaha... You're too much looking at sci-fi movie so you had many imaginations but that will be good too so we didn't need to clean our floors by ourselves :D
