Anil Yadav Posted 23 hours ago Posted 23 hours ago Hi everyone, I want to understand VPS hosting and how it works compared to shared hosting. What are the main benefits of using a Virtual Private Server, and when should someone consider upgrading to VPS hosting? Is VPS hosting suitable for business websites, WordPress sites, and applications that require more server resources and control? Also, what factors should beginners consider when choosing a VPS hosting plan, such as RAM, CPU, storage, bandwidth, server location, and technical support? I'd appreciate your suggestions and real-world experiences. Thanks!

Carl Peeter Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Good question, Anil. Think of shared hosting like renting a room in a busy house: cheap and easy, but if another site hogs the resources, yours slows down too. A VPS gives you your own guaranteed slice of CPU and RAM, so performance is steadier and you get root access to install whatever software you need. I've run WordPress sites on both, and for a small blog shared hosting is honestly fine — the VPS only starts to make sense when traffic grows or you need custom server settings.
