Mdraghib Posted Thursday at 11:33 AM Posted Thursday at 11:33 AM When I first got into forex, I thought it was easy—just charts, quick profits, and a bit of luck. Reality hit fast. My first month taught me more about discipline, risk, and patience than any tutorial ever could. If you’re new to forex, learn from my rookie mistakes before the market teaches you the hard way. Dendimerk Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago have things improved since your tough start? I remember feeling super lost in my first month too, especially around risk management. Curious to know if you found a routine or strategy that helped you feel more in control? Maybe we can share what's been working or not recently.
Spitfire214 Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago I made the same mistake of trading live too early, thinking demo success would carry over. What really helped was joining a prop trading firm because they forced me to stick to solid risk management and rules. Plus, having someone actually review my trades kept me from overtrading and trying to chase losses. It’s way easier to learn discipline when there's real structure and you’re not burning your own cash every time.
