official Marketplace Posting Now Requires a Premium TGF Account

Effectively, today, we decided to change who posts ads in the marketplace. In short, ads can be added there by Premium Users and Premium Companies.

Regular users can still post in the 'I want to buy' section and respond to all topics posted in other marketplace categories.

The reasons for that were:

1. We want to protect the community from shady, scammy ads posted by users and companies who refuse to identify themselves.
2. We aim to combat spam in the marketplace, where users and companies post 10 or more threads about the same service or company, often disguised as questions or fake recommendations.

For legitimate users of our community who wish to post in the marketplace for the entire month of October, we will offer a FREE UPGRADE to Premium Account - Marketplace sellers (worth $47).

Post in this thread or contact us through the contact form, or PM me, and we will upgrade you immediately. 

Since November 1, all users who wish to advertise their services in the marketplace must purchase a premium subscription, which costs $67/year.

Agree but we have a dutty for our members to ensure the quality of the listing for our users.

 Moving marketplace posting behind a Premium TGF account will definitely change how members use the forum. On one side, it could help reduce spam and keep listings more serious, but on the other side it may discourage casual users who only post occasionally.
