MDDODO Posted Saturday at 03:48 PM Posted Saturday at 03:48 PM Projects like Towns Protocol stand out in today’s landscape, especially for those who care about digital ownership, data privacy, and censorship resistance. Towns is building a decentralized real time messaging protocol, where group chats called Towns are fully owned and governed by the users themselves. No central authority. Instead, it runs on smart contracts deployed on Base, an EVM compatible Layer 2 chain, offering features like onchain memberships, reputation tracking, and end to end encryption baked into the design. What makes this more than just another Web3 idea is the serious backing behind it. The team has secured notable VC support and funding, suggesting long term potential rather than a quick play. The tokenomics are also structured with community incentives at the forefront: Initial Supply: 10 billion $TOWNS Max Supply: 15.32 billion $TOWNS Token Allocation: 57% to the community for governance, airdrops, grants, and ecosystem development 35% to team and investors 8% to node operators and delegators to help bootstrap the decentralized infra $TOWNS is currently listed on the BingX Innovation Zone, expanding its visibility to a broader Web3 trading community. There are plans for airdrops as part of community engagement a potential upside for early supporters keeping an eye on the protocol’s growth. In a Web3 world where user sovereignty is often talked about but rarely delivered, Towns is taking meaningful steps toward making it real.
tobiluxy Posted Saturday at 10:28 PM Posted Saturday at 10:28 PM Hey fam, Has anyone here been tracking TOWNS Protocol? It's this new project that's building decentralized real-time messaging apps but with a twist everything is programmable and OWNABLE by communities. Not your typical Web3 chat app. With Spaces (kind of like customizable chatrooms), you can set on-chain subscriptions (Membership NFTs), reputation systems, and even trade/gov them via smart contracts. Privacy? Covered. Ownership? Fully on-chain. Now here’s the kicker $TOWNS token is dropping soon on BingX you will know they are quick to list innovative projects before the hype wave. Token Quick Info: Name: TOWNS Ticker: $TOWNS Chain: BNB (BEP-20) Listing: Soon This feels like a big one for those bullish on Decentralized Social (DeSoc) narratives. Imagine having full ownership of your community space and monetizing it your way no middlemen. I’m definitely going to grab some $TOWNS on platform when it lists. Anyone else loading up? Would love to hear your thoughts: Do you think programmable messaging Spaces could take off? How do you see $TOWNS standing against Web2 giants like Discord/Telegram? Let’s discuss
Dhangotay Posted Wednesday at 04:07 AM Posted Wednesday at 04:07 AM Bitcoin’s recent dip to $112K, followed by a sharp rebound backed by $12.8B ETF inflows, says a lot about where the market is heading. Institutional demand is clearly in the driver’s seat now, and what stood out even more. No significant altcoin rally followed the bounce, something we would’ve expected in previous cycles. That absence of retail-fueled volatility made me pay closer attention to what I was holding, including $TOWNS, a token I’d picked up earlier out of sheer curiosity. Earlier yesterday, I noticed my 288 $TOWNS had surged over +750%. Initially, I was set on taking profit and moving on, a pretty standard response to a sudden pump. But before pulling the trigger, I came across the TOWNS listing carnival on BingX’s X page. And the tasks were simple, and it was clearly structured to reward verified participants. Since I was already holding, I sold a bit to lock gains and stayed in with the rest. Might as well see how it plays out. The way I see it, this market isn’t just about catching pumps anymore. With institutional flows reshaping Bitcoin's path, altcoin narratives need more than hype, they need structure, timing, and strategic entry. This $TOWNS move reminded me of that. Sometimes it's less about chasing noise and more about adjusting your position mid-game. Macjaja64 Posted yesterday at 01:17 AM Posted yesterday at 01:17 AM So $TOWNS finally went live, and I don’t know whether to laugh or load up more. From a high of 0.068 to around 0.033 now yeah, the candle looked like it got rug-slapped by gravity But here’s the twist: while everyone’s whining about the dump, I saw a few lowkey folks stacking TOWNS quietly via Launchpools and some PoolX stuff. I initially thought it was just another typical Base chain narrative, but the project’s actually got some solid roots, real-time decentralized messaging infra, ex-Houseparty team, backed by a16z and all that jazz. Still feels like most people don’t get what TOWNS is trying to build yet. Discord onchain? Reputation-based Spaces? Sounds cool, but also sounds early af. That said, I locked some BGB earlier (on that exchange we all use), and the rewards have been trickling in. Nothing life-changing, but it adds up and unlike some places, this pool was open for both new and old users (finally some respect for the OGs lol). Anyway, I’m not here to tell anyone to ape. Just wondering, is anyone else farming this? Or are we all just letting these early airdrop events slide under the radar again? Drop your take below are you trading it, staking, ignoring it, or just tired of “Base Season” already?
