What makes an investment the right one in crypto?

I cannot say I'm the best at finding gems in crypto, I'm actually far from it, and although over time I've gotten a lot of tips here on how to find them, I realised that most of the success I've had are projects with a good community and a very good use case too. 

Just yesterday, I committed some of the funds I had left on Bitget  to get TUT, and joined the Candybomb event for it, I thought it was a smart, because the project is basically a platform that educates people on blockchain, and a use case like that would appeal to other investors. 

Issue is I've been wrong a few times, and although this time it's already up 140%, I'd not be right all the time, and I'd like to have a feel of what everyone here is watching so I can research those as well, as opposed to trying to find each of them on my own.
