Was Euthanizing Peanut the Squirrel Necessary?

The recent news surrounding the euthanizing of Peanut the Squirrel and a raccoon after their owner's home was raided for illegally keeping wildlife and testing for rabies is truly heartbreaking.

This incident occurred on November 1, 2024, and as an animal lover, I find it particularly distressing. Peanut had lived with his owner, Longo, for seven years after being rescued. It's hard to believe that in a moment of fear, Peanut would bite, especially when faced with such a traumatic situation. Euthanizing him for this behavior seems morally unjustifiable.

As a fan of Peanut, I am deeply saddened by this turn of events. However, Peanut's memory will live on. In a unique twist, crypto enthusiasts can now trade his token, $PNUT, on Bitget, inspired by this tragic incident and marking the birth of a new Memecoin.

Rest in peace, Peanut. Your spirit will always be remembered.
