Gold (XAU) is traded against the US dollar (USD), and its price represents the cost of one ounce of gold in USD. XAU/USD is traded on the forex marketplace like any traditional currency pair. forex.com So, after gold this year had already hit its ATH in basically all other currencies, finally it hit it also in USD terms. (I thought this news would deserve opening a new thread, as some sort of celebration 😀) In the past gold had surpassed 4 times the 2000$ resistance barrier, but only in order to get pushed back down shortly thereafter.
