What are Pros and Cons of Crypto Fundamental Analysis?

Recommended Posts

The market trend for digital currencies closely resembles the laws of financial markets. Both react to supply and demand in the market, as well as macro and micro environmental factors, with each crypto-asset acting similarly to a stock in traditional financial markets. They each have their own distinct qualities and value propositions. As a result, by analyzing market trends, news, fundamental, and technical analysis based on accessible data, investors can build a more accurate forecast of market conditions.

Fundamental analysis is a method of studying the evolution of a fundamental market trend, relying more on objective facts and historical data, and predicting the future market using historical data. After studying the patterns of the K-line (candlestick) charts, fundamental analysis is the most basic technique for investors to define their investment approach on a more macro level.

Fundamental analysis' advantages and downsides
Benefits: Fundamental research is one of the most efficient techniques for investors to understand market sentiment. Fundamental analysis provides investors with a more accurate and macro perspective of a single currency's basic data, making it an appropriate entry-level strategy for medium to long-term investors making market predictions and investment decisions.

Disadvantages: Because fundamental analysis cannot be measured, its results are not time-sensitive. When employing fundamental analysis alone, it is impossible to achieve accurate future market forecast findings. As a result, fundamental analysis can only see the currency's macro trend, not the short-term market, which is one of the reasons why fundamental analysis is only suitable for medium and long-term investments.

The only con of crypto fundamental analysis I can think of is that it is time consuming. Apart from that, I can’t think of any reason you should not do it. It tells you about why the crypto prices are moving in a certain manner so that you can make your decisions in accordance with them.

Crypto fundamental analysis involves explaining into the available information about a DiFi, DApps asset. there might be use cases for coins like ETH,SOL,UNI, the number of people using it, or the team behind the project, but many ICO and new tokens have no fundamental. In case of BTC the only fundamental is it being the APEX coin.

Fundamental analysis is important as it helps the trader understand the future of the coin and they get to speculate the rise and fall of the price according to other factors that can affect its value. Many newbies skip this step and blindly invest causing them failure. Hence, analysing and studying the market is a must.

Fundamentals remain one of the most important tools in crypto trading. When combined with technical analysis, they give a complete picture to the trader about trading. As a trader, however, you should consider its drawbacks too. It is relatively different from other financial markets in terms of crypto usage. Fundamentals are often subjective and are vulnerable to chance factors.

Despite its drawbacks, fundamental analysis has advantages. Trading is dangerous without fundamental analysis.
