CharlieWex
I have a dog, a very good one. A retriever, but I'm worried she'll get lost and I won't find her again. I've heard it's possible to implant a chip in a dog to know its whereabouts. But I think that's too much.
DanT88
You're right, a dog can be implanted with a chip, but that's really too much. There are other options. For example take a DNA test for dogs. You'll always have that test in hand so you can prove the dog is yours. I have personally read the information on this subject on this website https://aetapet.com/best-dna-test-for-dogs/. To be on the safe side you can read it too. This site has a lot of useful information on pet care, it helped me.

Mandyrose
I have a parrot, a very good one. I talk to my parrot constantly. In fact, I probably talk to my parrot more than I talk to other people.

JMacLeod
The microchip itself is energetically passive, has no power supply or emission sources, and activates only under the influence of the weak electromagnetic field emitted by the scanner when reading the code. Thus, all the time it`s completely passive and radiates nothing into the environment, which makes it completely harmless to pet. I`d chip my pet too, but I have guinea pig and she lives in her cage periodically, so no need yet...Actually, if I had a dog or cat, I`d consider chipping. Any guinea pig owners around here? I love reading all sorts of news about them, found some interesting info about guinea pig ration. What do you think about it?
Dora Wi
I don't think chipping is too much. It is a very standard thing, at least in Europe - most dogs get microchipped as a puppy. It's not even a very invasive procedure, it is administered similarly to a vaccine. In turn, it's a huge help if a dog ever gets lost.
StormGuy
I have no idea why you'd do that. Too cruel for me
