The Turkish lira touches another record low against the dollar USD/TRY surpasses 4.6400 as lira rout deepens It is once again the worst performing emerging market currency on the day, and this says a lot as the USD is not really looking too good today. Most emerging market currencies are higher against the greenback - along with all the majors as well - but the lira is down by more than 1.5% on the day. It's been a painful last one week for the lira and it doesn't look like it'll get better any time soon with the CBRT still mum in the wake of Erdogan's comments from last week. EUR/TRY surpasses 5.4691 as try rout deepens.
