The benchmark indices edged marginally lower in Thursday’s early trade on weak global cues. At 10.10 am, the BSE Sensex, was down 71 points or 0.24% at 29,903.23, while the NSE Nifty index was down 24.20 points or 0.26% at 9,240.95. In the broader market, the BSE Midcap and Smallcap index were also trading marginally lower. Sectoral indices opened the day on a mixed note. The benchmark indices on Monday edged higher in early trade tracking positive Asian peers. At 10.15 am, the BSE Sensex was up 146.73 points or 0.50% at 29,767.23. The Nifty-50 index was up 34.35 points or 0.38% at 9,208.20. In the broader market, the BSE Midcap and the S&P BSE Smallcap indices added 0.4% and 0.5%, respectively.
