SuperEx Educational Series: Understanding Value Routing #SuperEx #EducationalSeries A common Web3 phrase is: “value should return to the people who create it.” Sounds right, even inspiring. But value does not magically walk to the right recipient. When a user pays, who should receive it? The creator, referrer, protocol, liquidity provider, data contributor, compute node, agent, DAO treasury, or risk service? Without routing logic, money comes in, everyone starts reconciling, and things get messy fast. Value Routing solves how value moves through complex networks: where it goes, who receives it, under what rules, and how it can be audited when something goes wrong. What Is Value Routing? Value Routing refers to mechanisms that route value to the right recipients across payments, trades, cross-chain flows, content, data, compute, agents, and protocol revenue, based on rules, paths, contribution, cost, risk, and permissions. It is not one single standard or the name of one specific project. More precisely, it is a mechanism category: payment routing solves how money reaches recipients; liquidity routing solves how assets swap at better prices; revenue routing solves how income is split; incentive routing solves how rewards reach contributors. In one sentence: Value Routing is the navigation system of a value network. Concept Interpretation In traditional internet platforms, value routing is mostly handled internally. How ad revenue is split, how much creators earn, which payment rail is used, and whether referrers get rewards are usually invisible to users. The platform says what happened, and everyone is expected to trust it. What Web3 tries to do is make parts of value routing programmable, verifiable, and composable. Smart contracts can split payments automatically. DEX aggregators can search for better trade paths. Cross-chain protocols can choose bridges and liquidity sources. Protocols like x402 allow APIs and content to charge per request. Zora writes creators, referrers, protocols, and other roles into reward structures. So Value Routing is not just “sending money.” A transfer cares about A to B. Value Routing asks: from A to whom, through which path, under which rule, at what cost, with what risk, and whether it can be traced. How Does It Work? First, define the value source. Value may come from user payments, trading fees, content subscriptions, data calls, compute jobs, ad budgets, agent service fees, cross-chain transfers, or protocol revenue. Second, identify participants. Who created value? Who provided infrastructure? Who brought the user? Who took risk? Who should receive fees? This may involve creators, curators, referrers, liquidity providers, bridges, validators, data providers, compute nodes, and DAOs. Third, discover routes. For trades, the system looks for better price, lower slippage, and reasonable gas. Uniswap Smart Order Router computes multi-pool and multi-hop routes. 0x aggregates liquidity sources. LI.FI searches across bridges, DEXs, and solvers for cross-chain routes. Fourth, execute rules. Smart contracts or backend services split revenue according to predefined rules, such as 50% to creator, 10% to referrer, 5% to protocol, 15% to DAO treasury, and 20% to a contribution pool. The key is not the exact percentage, but whether the rule is transparent, verifiable, and governable. Fifth, settle and audit. After routing value, the system records route, recipients, amounts, fees, time, transaction hash, and failure state. Without auditability, problems become painful: everyone says they did not receive funds, and the system has no clear answer. Main Types of Value Routing The first type is payment routing. Interledger compares value transfer across payment networks to packet routing on the internet, using connectors to forward value across ledgers and currencies. Lightning Network also uses multi-hop payment paths, so payer and recipient do not need a direct connection. The second type is liquidity routing. When users swap A into B, the system does not need to use only one pool. It may split orders across pools, DEXs, and even chains. The goal is better price, lower slippage, higher success rate, and reasonable cost. The third type is revenue routing. Creator income, protocol fees, referral commissions, trading revenue, and content-collection income all need rule-based distribution. Zora’s reward structure is a typical example: creators, market contribution, platform referrals, trade referrals, and the protocol may receive different fee shares. The fourth type is resource routing. In data and compute markets, user payments may flow to data providers, cleaners, validators, storage nodes, compute nodes, and maintainers. Rewards should not go to whoever shouts loudest, but to whoever creates verifiable value. The fifth type is agent routing. AI agents may automatically buy APIs, call models, pay for data, rent compute, and execute cross-chain tasks. Protocols like x402 allow services to request payment through HTTP 402, which fits programmatic payment. Agents do not only spend money; they must know where to spend, to whom, and within what limits. Why It Matters Value Routing matters because value creation in Web3 increasingly involves many participants. Behind one trade, there may be a wallet, DEX, aggregator, bridge, solver, RPC, oracle, and risk service. Behind one piece of content, there may be an author, translator, referrer, reviewer, collector, and community. Behind one AI service, there may be a model, data, compute, verification, agent, and payment protocol. If value cannot be routed correctly, contributors do not get rewarded, users do not understand costs, protocols cannot build long-term incentives, and ecosystems rely more on centralized platforms deciding distribution manually. The meaning of Value Routing is giving complex collaboration a clear value flow. A Simple Case Suppose SuperEx builds an AI + Web3 education and trading ecosystem. Users read courses, subscribe to researchers, use AI risk-control agents, call on-chain data, complete cross-chain trades, and pay for high-quality content. Without Value Routing, all revenue may enter a platform account first and be distributed manually later. This may work at small scale, but it becomes chaotic as the system grows: creators ask how earnings are calculated, referrers ask where commissions went, data contributors ask why they received nothing, and agent service providers ask who settles API fees. A better design is: when a user pays for research, a contract automatically splits revenue among the author, translator, referrer, and DAO Academy. When a user uses an AI risk-control agent, fees flow by usage to model services, data sources, compute nodes, and the protocol. When a user makes a cross-chain trade, the router selects bridges, DEXs, and solvers while recording fee paths. If a contribution comes from a high-reputation user, it may receive extra weight. In this model, SuperEx’s value network is not “money enters a black box.” Every unit of value has a route, rule, and receipt. Key Design Questions First, what is the routing objective? Lowest cost, fastest speed, highest success rate, highest return, lowest risk, or fairest distribution? Different goals create different paths. One vague “best route” cannot cover all cases. Second, are rules transparent? If value distribution is a black box, contributors eventually lose trust. Users and participants should know where fees come from, where they go, who receives how much, and why. Third, is routing composable? Can one protocol’s revenue routing be read by another app? Can a creator’s referral relationship enter another split system? Composability determines whether the value network can grow. Fourth, how are failures handled? Cross-chain failure, payment failure, partial settlement failure, invalid recipient addresses, and revoked permissions all need recovery mechanisms. Value routing is not only about happy paths; failure paths reveal real engineering quality. Fifth, can it be gamed? If value follows routes, people may fake routes, farm referrals, inflate trades, or fabricate contributions. Value Routing must work with Reputation Layers, Proof of Personhood, Human Verification, and anomaly detection. Common Misunderstandings The first misunderstanding: Value Routing is just payment. Not enough. Payment is only one form of value movement. Value Routing also includes liquidity paths, revenue splits, contribution rewards, cross-chain execution, agent budgets, and protocol incentives. The second misunderstanding: the cheapest route is always the best route. Not necessarily. A cheap route may have high failure risk, large slippage, slow confirmation, or weak security. Real routing must balance cost, speed, success rate, safety, and user preference. The third misunderstanding: smart contract splits automatically create fairness. Wrong. Smart contracts execute rules; they do not guarantee fair rules. Fairness comes from contribution measurement, governance, transparency, and correction mechanisms. Code can be precise while the rule is bad. The fourth misunderstanding: more complex value routing is more advanced. Also wrong. Complexity increases cost, audit difficulty, and attack surface. A good mechanism includes necessary complexity, not performative complexity. Risks and Limitations The first risk is black-box routing. Users may not know why a route was chosen or who received fees. This is especially important for aggregators, bridges, and solvers. The second risk is MEV and front-running. Once a trade path is exposed, it may be sandwiched, front-run, or reordered. Value routing needs MEV protection, private transactions, slippage controls, and execution safety. The third risk is cross-chain failure. Cross-chain value routing involves bridges, messaging layers, liquidity, and destination-chain execution. Any part can fail, causing delays, refunds, or stuck assets. The fourth risk is contribution measurement. When splitting revenue among creators, data contributors, referrers, and compute nodes, contribution is not always easy to measure. Bad metrics reward bad behavior and distort the ecosystem. The fifth risk is governance. Who can change routing rules? Who can adjust split ratios? Who can add or remove recipients? If these powers are opaque, Value Routing becomes a new trust black box. Conclusion The core value of Value Routing is making value flow to the right recipients across complex networks according to rules, routes, and contribution. It is not just transfer, and not just revenue splitting. It is foundational infrastructure connecting payments, trading, cross-chain execution, content, data, compute, agents, and protocol revenue. As Web3 becomes more complex, Value Routing becomes more important. A truly open network is not only about asset movement. It also needs visible, auditable, recoverable, and governable value distribution. In plain words: Value Routing is not only about whether money can be sent. It is about how value should move, who should receive it, why they should receive it, and whether the path can be audited. It may not sound flashy, but it decides whether an ecosystem only talks about fairness or actually routes value to contributors. Why do a major percentage of traders lose?
heinrichklaaseen replied to Nilde Lucchese's topic in Forex Discussions & Help
USD/CAD rebounds from two-month low The USD/CAD pair has exhibited two-way movement amidst high volatility. USD/CAD briefly touched a two-month low of 1.38446 and has since rebounded to the 1.39100 range, though it remains below the 50-day EMA. The real-time price on the FXOpen chart stands at 1.38906, with significant upside risk as today marks the deadline for US tariffs on Canada. Canadian inflation has strengthened but not enough to compel the Bank of Canada (BoC) to raise interest rates. July CPI rose to 3.0% year-on-year (YoY) from 2.0%, while median core inflation hovered around 2%. The rise in the headline figure was primarily driven by gasoline prices, which surged 25.7% YoY. The BoC has maintained its interest rate at 2.25%, meaning the US retains the interest rate advantage. The US dollar itself is facing pressure; relatively softer US data has led the market to scale back expectations for a Federal Reserve rate hike in September. Markets now estimate a roughly 70% probability that the Fed will not raise rates in September. However, today's FOMC minutes pose a major risk for USD/CAD, as they may offer clues on whether Fed members remain committed to a tighter policy stance. The most significant factor today is the issue of US-Canada tariffs. The US has threatened to impose a 50% tariff on approximately US$20 billion worth of Canadian goods starting August 19. Negotiations are ongoing, with Trump and Carney even holding talks ahead of the deadline. If the tariffs are implemented, the CAD could weaken, likely driving USD/CAD higher. Conversely, if an agreement is reached or a delay is secured, the CAD could strengthen, potentially causing a sharp drop in USD/CAD. The CAD is highly sensitive to oil prices, given Canada's status as an oil exporter; sustained high oil prices support the currency. With WTI crude remaining above the $80 level in recent reports, this serves as a factor limiting the rise of USD/CAD. From a technical perspective, USD/CAD remains below the 50-day EMA, indicating that bearish sentiment continues to dominate. The estimated fair price range for USDCAD today is 1.38600–1.40500. Immediate support is around 1.3870, with the next target in the 1.38000 range. Immediate resistance is around 1.39500, and the next resistance level is around 1.40500. This forecast could be wrong.
